I (Ben) began DJing 18 years ago after being hooked on 90s dance music, after being locked up in my bedroom with my trusty Technic Turntables and vinyl, practising the art of beat matching and mixing. From then I was fortunate to have been able to build a career in DJing Dance & Rave Music. Playing at clubs and events all across the South West and the UK including:
The Opera House (Bournemouth), Lakotta (Bristol), Hidden (London), The Emporium (Coalville), The Barn (Portsmouth), Claires (Torquay), Tall Trees (Newquay), Berties (Newquay), Barracuda (Newquay), The Barn (Penzance), Club 2K (Penzance), Sound (Penzance), The Club (St Austell), Candy Store (Plymouth), Warehouse (Plymouth), c103 (Plymouth) and many, many more.
Every other weekend I would find myself playing to crowds from 100 – 2000 clubbers, often sharing the stage with some of my biggest DJ idols in Dance Music including
Showtek, Tim Westward, Kate Lawler, Professor Green, Judge Jules, Ultrabeat, N-Trance, Ratpack, Dave Pearce, Lisa Lashes, Darren Styles, Hixxy, MTVs Rewire and Varski, The Tidy Boys and many many more.
As well as Djing, along with my wife, Ami we ran & promoted one of the South Wests leading Dance music nights which ran for 10 years. During that time we were hosting events in clubs & venues all across the South West. Playing host to some of the biggest names in underground Dance Music. We also hosted nights for the likes of:
Club MTV, Ministry of Sound, Clubland, Cream, Tidy, Frantic, Godskitchen, Slinky, HTID, Premonition, Bionic and many more
Nowadays my club DJing days are pretty much over and I now concentrate my DJing at weddings and children’s parties Full Time. Using my years of experience to ensure that every party or celebration I DJ at is a success and is enjoyed by everyone.
Ami has a background in food & catering. Having trained at Jamie Olivers beachfront restaurant for an intensive 18 months & gaining NVQ 1,2 & 3 in catering, she went on to spend 5 years as a trainer chef at Fifteen Cornwall, working her way around all sections of the fast paced kitchen whilst training students in the art of Italian fine cuisine. Ami worked her way up the ladder to Chef De Partie before leaving in late 2012.
During her 10yrs as a chef, Ami spent time at Rick Stiens Patisserie in Padstow, Running the Kitchen at a harbor side Pub in Padstow & as head chef of the deli cafe Relish in Wadebridge.
Career highlights include 2 trips to Puglia & Tuscany in Italy, on food & wine sourcing trips, being part of the catering team for Jamie Olivers Big night in Charity function in London, having a hands-on cooking lesson with Jamie Oliver himself in his London training kitchen & cooking for all the celebrities who dined at Fifteen over the years.
